Hello everyone ! A student in Bordeaux since 2015 and vegan for 3 years, I had the time to test the majority of what the city offered in terms of 100% plant-based products. Little by little, Bordeaux is becoming vegan and this offers many surprises. Bars, restaurants, tea rooms, everything goes there. Rest assured, the offers are numerous and will satisfy all tastes and budgets. Why this guide? Discovering a city is never easy. Shopping, restaurants, whether you're on vacation or passing through, finding what you like is never easy, especially when you're vegetarian or vegan. I would therefore like to share with you my best Bordeaux addresses!

We start this little guide with my Bordeaux favorite! Munchies : junk food in a healthy and vegan version! There you can find hot dogs, buns, grilled cheeses and a gluten-free bowl that changes every day! You can bring your loved ones who are omnivores skeptical about the taste of vegan cuisine, it will be a success! Whether you choose junk food or the bowl, you can finish your meal with a delicious chocolate mousse, a chia pudding or a cookie, all in a minimalist atmosphere with Mac De Marco in the background.

“ healthy food but tasty food ”

Smart Green Corner is a vegan and gluten-free canteen with fresh, seasonal products. The principle ? Serve either on a large rectangular plate. The formula: a main course, soup and dessert for less than €10. Friendly and affordable, it is the ideal place to eat a healthy and balanced meal when you have little time to eat. My opinion: Very good! At Wild Note Vegan Burger As its name does not indicate, this establishment serves vegan burgers. So. More seriously, if you want to eat a very generous menu for not too much money: this is the place to go. The 4 burgers are all very good and the desserts are always successful. If burgers aren't your thing, don't panic! A dish is always offered and, good news, it changes regularly! No excuse not to try it!

“Packed, it’s weighed”

Le P'tit Chez Moi : to make you feel at home! If you are looking for a warm place with friendly service, this is the ideal place. Stéphane will be very happy to welcome you to his organic and vegan canteen in Chartrons. The concept ? Food is weighed by weight! You will have the choice among various dishes, tarts, dips and desserts to satisfy both adults and children.

“Chickpeas = life”

Massa : 4 pita bread recipes (2 vegetarian, 2 vegan). In my opinion the best falafel in town, definitely one of my favorite places, nothing more to say. Small negative point: the restaurant is closed on Sundays.

“Beer + fries + Quebec”

Au Nouveau Monde is an original “brue-pub”. A hubbub, but what is it? It is a bar in which beer brewed on site is served. The concept ? A pub that serves poutines, house beer and whose products are 100% organic! It's a warm place where you can celebrate with your friends around poutine (traditional Quebec dish based on fries) and a good pint of beer. Small clarification, it's a vegan-friendly pub, so this place serves meat.

Go visit Wilhem in his grocery store Un Jour Vert , he will be able to advise you best and is very careful about the ethics of the brands he offers for sale. In terms of food, everyone will find what they are looking for: lovers of substitutes have the famous solmon from Odontella and the delicious Camenvert from Tomm Pousse (among others). As for sweet groceries: the famous Vego, Funkie Veggie balls and other products to raise your blood sugar. There are also sauces galore, bulk products, superfoods, dehydrated soy proteins in 1001 forms and lots of other cool products to try. There are also plenty of cosmetics: shower products, dental hygiene, deodorants, perfumes, etc. For my part, I buy my Pachamamaï solid shampoo, my Ben & Anna stick deodorant as well as my sun cream for the summer. Tasting events in the presence of brands are regularly organized, just follow a Green Day on social networks to keep up to date. The little extra? A bulk and zero waste corner!

At snack time

Cactus Général Store: My favorite place to have a snack. The concept ? A vegan and organic Coffee Shop in which you can also find ethical and ecological products. Amélie and Victor, the managing couple, cook delicious pastries and offer a wide choice of hot drinks. My favorite ? Banana cake with a chai latte or hot chocolate. A delight! You will also find fashion items there: Matt&Nat bags and Will's Vegan Shoes for men and the women's shoe brand Minuit sur Terre. "Tea? Tattoo? Tea and tattoo?" : Are you looking for a vegan-friendly tattoo parlor? Sibylles is the essential address. In this caring and inclusive place you can not only get a tattoo but also drink a hot drink or nibble a vegan cookie. Come knock on the door of Les Sibylles if you're looking for a cozy place to recharge your batteries or simply relax a little!

Les Douceurs d'Eulalie It's a small pastry shop where you will find an interesting vegan offering. I highly recommend trying the Black Forest. You can also order your birthday cakes and other Christmas logs!

Addresses to discover

Appreciating spontaneous outings, I have not yet been able to try these restaurants which were highly recommended to me but where reservations are required: Kitchen Garden , Rest'o as well as ONA which is on the Arcachon basin.
